I came home today to find kpuff her grand-dad (my dad) playing golf (nintendo wii), kpuff came 2nd (I prefer second to last...:)) with a record of +63!! I didn't even know scores came that high...hey as long as she's happy. Wii boxing on the other hand she excels at, home girl had like 7 knock outs in a row..lol.

So in other news, I've had an office now for about two months, the first week I started out great, got there everyday at 8:00am, more recently I'm barely making it there by 10:00am!!! I don't know what's going on, it's like I'm stuck in a rut, I've been working on the same projects for months now and it's sooooo boring....someone please help, I need to get motivated again, quickly too. I guess it doesn't help that I'm up blogging at 1 a.m...lol. Ok ok goodnight...

I'm in search of a new school for Kpuff, she's not due to start primary school for another 2 years or so, but most of the good schools are quite competitive (I mean they interview the kids and all...lol). On the shortlist are Grange and St. Saviours Ebute Metta. I prefer St. Saviours but meeeen that commute won't be easy since we live in Ikeja. I spent the last two days collecting one admission form or the other from them it wasn't fun. She may have her interview with them on Thursday, I can't even imagine how that will go, let's hope it's a 'good' kpuff day, cause if they catch her on a bad day...we certainly will have no choice but to scratch them off our list...lol. Does anyone have any other mainland school recommendations? Thoughts on Corona Gbagada? Chrisland? (I haven't heard any rave reviews about either in the last few years).

Part of the reason I stayed away from blogging for so long was that a lot was (and still is) going on in my life that I didn't want to share just yet. For one, Mr. is completely out of the picture except where it concerns Kpuff and I'm quite fine with that. It's sad though I hear about so many separated and/or distressed couples these days. What are we all doing wrong?

It's been over a year since I updated....:(. Frankly I didn't think I'll update again, but for some reason I've been thinking about blogging lately...I've really missed everyone. What's new? Does anyone still come here?...I'll do my best not to stay away for so long next time but I can't make any promises.

So, on to my favourite topic :). Kpuff is three...., can you believe it?! she's 3 years old! she's talking a lot now, as in non-stop, my mum says she's either talking, crying, singing or sleeping..lol....

Well as you can imagine, a lot has happened in the last year so I guess we have lots to discuss...:)

Thanks for the all the comments and emails, it's amazing how time flies, almost 2 months since I updated :( - sorry. So much has happened over the last 2 months, Kpuff's birthday was a hit, a few of us (about 10 folks) went to fun place, Kpuff was really really clingy (which isn't abnormal - but damn), but I hear she had fun when I left to drop off her cake at home, I'm starting to think Kpuff pulls all these stunts only when I'm present..hmm. My birthday was just alright, ended up not doing anything :), I did get nice gifts though ;).

My ISP's (Direct on PC) put me through hell over the last month or so, Bungalow practically became my office, what's a girl to do now. Please send all VSAT recommendations for the mainland my way, I need a decent backup ASAP.

Birthday & Birthday

Kpuff's birthday is this weekend! how time flies, I don't believe she's going to be 2, I still clearly remember being pregnant and labour (shudder). Once your child starts hitting 1 or 2 everyone is like "...so when is the next one coming?"....hmmm yeah sure.

So I'm not sure what the agenda for her birthday this year is, definitely no party, I think I'm going to take a couple, sorry a few (more like 2 other kids..lol) to fun place and buy her a cake or something and of course take lots and lots and lots of pics. As far as her vocabulary is concerned, it's definitely expanding everyday, like everyone else in Lagos she's moved on from Yahooze to Gongo Aso and actually says "Mummy pay gog-aso"..lol.

In other news...well there's no other news...lol. Oh yeah, my birthday is next month, and I'm not sure if I want to do something or not, a dinner party?, a 'parry parry'? both? a trip? a nice luxury gift to me? what do you think?

Swim Update

I did it!!! we went swimming yesterday!!!!. Yeah that whole high pony tail ting didn't work....lol. Kpuff was petrified, she was screaming at the top of her lungs...bush girl..lol. I tried the kiddie pool, no luck with that either, so I decided to go back to the regular pool and let her cry it out. When she finally did, she fell asleep on her floater holding on to me for dear life...lol. I'm going to try to make it a weekly thing, so we're off to Ikoyi Club next Sunday....:).

Other than that my weekend was alright, had lunch at Cactus on Saturday and drinks at 007, I am making a keen effort to be more social this year..lol. Let's see how long this lasts.

The Fun Place

It's so nice to read all the nice welcome back comments from everyone, I feel like a superstar..lol. I have to confess I don't have much to blog about today, but I don't want to abandon the blog for another (cough) 3 months..lol.

Didn't get up to much this weekend, Aunty B is off, so it's just kpuff and I :). the last few weekends have been weddings, bridal showers, etc.

For those of us who live on the mainland there's a semi-new place at opebi called "The Fun Place" (I think, I have to double check), it's actually quite nice. I'll say it's geared towards children from about 2 to like 10, there's not much for the 2 year olds except a large play pen which kpuff was perfectly fine with. Also, most of the rides are geared towards kids aged 3 years and above, one of their staff said it was ok if your child is younger though(me I no do that one sha..lol). Definitely check it out if you live in the neighborhood, at least it's something different to do. Also pls someone convince me to take kpuff swimming, I'm soo embarassed I've never taken her swimming (we went to the beach over the break though), I don't want to wet my hair and I soooo don't feel like swimming...lol
